OMB Director Joe Baird explained that the residents of The <br />Moorings have requested this lighting but tax monies to pay for <br />same will not be available until the 1995-96 tax year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent), authorized staff <br />to: contact the City of Vero Beach to begin <br />installation as soon as possible; enter into an <br />intergovernmental streetlighting agreement with the <br />City of Vero Beach for the Mooring's streetlighting <br />district; prepare a separate assessment billing by <br />the Property Appraiser for the partial 1994/1995 <br />fiscal year service after installation begins; and <br />allowed inter -fund borrowing until assessment <br />revenue is received; as recommended by staff. <br />COURTHOUSE/HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 30, 1994: <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: November 30, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: PROVIDE AND INSTALL HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR THE <br />NEW COURTHOUSE - BUDGET AMENDMENT 002 <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET AGENDA ITEM <br />FROM: Joseph Baird I <br />OMB Director <br />The Board of County Commissioners allocated $38,568.00 for computer hardware and software for <br />the judges in the new courthouse. On May 1, 1994 we received bids for the computer system. The <br />lowest bid received was $50,270.04. On September 13, 1994 the Board of County Commissioners <br />rejected the bids, recommended specifications be revised and the computer system be re -bid. <br />After discussion with Judge Kanarek, staff contacted the St. Lucie County Automated Services <br />Department which installs and maintains all the computer equipment for the State Attorney and <br />Public Defender offices district -wide. St. Lucie County Automated Services also installs and <br />maintains the circuit judge's computers in St. Lucie County. <br />23 <br />DECEMBER 6, 1994 <br />BOOK UW PAGE 879 <br />
