OUTCOME 2 <br />By the end of the 18-19 School year, 100% of the 17 at -risk, low-income children, ages 3 and 4, <br />will improve their health, literacy, communication, critical thinking, motor, and social <br />emotional skills, as measured by Teaching Strategies Gold. <br />PROGRESS: As of the date of this report, we are 30 days into the 18-19 school year for the Early <br />Bird Dodgertown class. We are in the process of conducting initial health and developmental <br />screenings on all of the children. We will have this baseline data to report with our first report <br />on your fiscal year 18-19 Grant. <br />OUTCOME 3 <br />By the end of the 18-19 school year, 89% or 15 parents or guardians will increase their <br />knowledge of early childhood growth and development and will be supported in achieving <br />family goals, as measured by home visit, parent teacher conference, and training attendance <br />records. <br />PROGRESS: The parents of all 15 children participated in home visits. Over the course of the <br />school year, they will have the opportunity to participate in parent trainings, volunteer in the <br />classroom, and participate in leadership opportunities. <br />EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />P.O. This project seeks to replicate <br />and expand upon the program's success that extends the school year through the middle of July <br />2018 with priority given to homeless, migrant and students residing in school zones with the <br />highest poverty percentages. <br />Collaboration: The Education Foundation of Indian River County collaborates with the School <br />District of Indian River County to leverage our community's investment in our schools with the <br />26 <br />59 <br />
