MABASSO CORRIDOR PLAN <br />Isms <br />• US 1 and CR 510 Landscape Buffers Landscape buffers help to <br />separate uses and provide an open and natural appearance. <br />Such buffers can also hide what is unaesthetic and complement <br />what is aesthetic. <br />To enhance the appearance of the corridor from US 1 and CR 510 <br />and from adjacent sidewalks and bikeways, to maintain an open <br />and natural appearance to the corridor, and to retain and <br />promote property values within the corridor, a special <br />landscape feature along the US 1 and CR 510 frontages of new <br />development sites is necessary. Wherefore, within the plan <br />area the following landscape requirements shall apply. <br />• Landscape Buffer Along US i and CR 510 <br />The county -wide landscaping requirements of LDR Chapter 926 shall <br />apply except as noted in this plan. The following landscape buffer <br />shall be provided along the entire length of a site's CR 510 and US <br />1 frontages, except for approved driveways: <br />Minimum Planting/Berm <br />Buffer Width Requirements per 100' <br />4 canopy trees <br />5 understory trees <br />20' or more Continuous hedge*: 1f'-21' <br />high at planting <br />Beres: 11'-3' high* <br />4.5 canopy trees <br />5.5 understory trees <br />15' Continuous hedge*: 11'-3' <br />high at planting <br />Berms 1'-21' high* <br />5 canopy trees <br />6 understory trees <br />10' Continuous hedge*: 21'-3' <br />high at planting <br />Berns 1•-11• high* <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PAGE 18 <br />
