BLVD FROM 37TH ST. TO <br />53RD STREET <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 12/7/94: <br />TO: James E. -Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request for Street Lighting - Indian River Boulevard from 37th <br />Street to 53rd Street <br />REF. LETTER: Dean F. Luethje, Carter Associates, Inc. to James Davis dated Nov. 29, 1994 <br />DATE: December 7, 1994 FILE: MBLGTS.AGN <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Two recently approved developments along Indian River Boulevard Phase IV between 37th <br />Street and 53rd Street (National Health Corp Adult Congregate Living Facility and Oak Point <br />Subdivision) will soon be constructed and occupied by senior citizens. Dean Luethje, agent for <br />National Health Corp., is requesting that the County continue the street lighting program north <br />along Indian River Boulevard as currently exists south of 37th Street. The City of Vero Beach <br />is planning utility pole installation along the South one-half mile of this two mile section of <br />Indian River Boulevard. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />At the utility company's preferred light spacing of 250', approximately seven lights are <br />recommended at an estimated cost of $29100 per year to light the one-half mile section between <br />37th Street and 53rd Street. If only seven lights are installed as requested by National Health <br />Corp., the cost would be $2,100 per year. <br />FUNDING ALTERNATIVES <br />The following funding alternatives are presented: <br />13 <br />December 20, 1994 �.E jZ <br />
