G. Resolution in Support of -Interstate 95/Palm Beach International <br />Airport Direct Connector <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 22, 1994: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />aeau-)6Y <br />FROM: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: December 22, 1994 <br />RE: Resolution in Support of Interstate 95/ <br />Palm Beach International Airport Direct Connector <br />The Director of the Palm Beach International Airport, Mr. Bruce Pelly, <br />has asked for Indian River County's assistance in getting approval for a <br />direct road connection from Interstate 95 to Palm Beach International <br />Airport. As shown on the attached letter, he believes that the support <br />of the local counties to the north, who do use Palm Beach International <br />Airport, will be important in getting DOT approval for this project. <br />If the Board agrees with this recommendation, the attached resolution <br />would be sent to Palm Beach International Airport for use in its public <br />hearing process to determine the need for the public project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Adopt attached resolution and send copies to Palm Beach <br />International Airport, C/O the Airport Director. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 95-03, Establishing Support of State of <br />Florida Department of Transportation Project No. <br />93220-1465, Build Alternative 3A-2 Interstate <br />95/Palm Beach International Airport Direct <br />Connector, as recommended by staff. <br />12/22/94(reso\airport)Vk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-_Q„3_ 1. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING ITS <br />SUPPORT OF STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANS- <br />PORTATION PROJECT NO. 93220-1465, BUILD ALTERNATIVE <br />3A-2 INTERSTATE 95/PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT <br />DIRECT CONNECTOR. <br />WHEREAS, Palm Beach International Airport, Palm Beach County, Florida is <br />a primary commercial air service provider for residents of and visitors to <br />Indian River County, Florida; and <br />JANUARY 3, 1995 14 BOOK G4 PA61t 14 <br />
