Under discussion, County Attorney Vitunac asked if the Board <br />wished to include any financial contribution for NACo's expenses <br />for lobbying. <br />Commissioners Adams and Eggert felt the County is not in a <br />position to contribute at this time, and Commissioner Adams <br />expressed her feeling that the Board would be much more effective <br />talking individually with the Congressmen and legislators. <br />Chairman Macht reminded the Board that we are also supporting <br />NACo through our dues and asked County Attorney Vitunac to help <br />draft the resolution. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />1/12/95(reso\awflow)Vk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HOARD OF COUNTY COMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO THE UNITED STATES <br />CONGRESS, URGING PASSAGE OF A SOLID WASTE FLOW <br />CONTROL HILL. <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of flow control is to protect the health and <br />environment of citizens by ensuring that local governments can responsibly <br />dispose of solid waste at well -regulated facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County, Florida, is required by law to provide, <br />and does provide, a solid waste disposal facility for all of Indian River <br />County, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of that obligation it was necessary for the County to <br />issue bonds secured by the stream of revenue produced by the disposal <br />facility; and <br />JANUARY 3, 1995 36 <br />BOOK 4 PAra 36 <br />
