Ennis, P.E., Asst. Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Work Order No. 10, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. <br />Indian River Boulevard and 8th Street (IRC -1909) <br />DATE: April 9, 2019 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County Public Works -Traffic Engineering performed a signal warrant engineering <br />analysis on the intersection of Indian River Boulevard and 8th Street. Based upon the engineering <br />analysis staff determined that a traffic signal was warranted for installation at this intersection. <br />On April 17, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Continuing Consulting <br />Engineering Service Agreement for Professional Services with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 10 is to provide survey, design and permitting services to add <br />traffic signal mast arm assemblies, pedestrian crosswalks, pavement markings, sidewalks with ADA <br />compliant ramps and associated drainage improvements at the intersection of Indian River <br />Boulevard and 8th Street. Work Order No. 10 is for a total lump sum amount of $67,200.00. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is budgeted and available Optional Sales Tax/Account No. 31521441-066510-19010/8th <br />Street & IR Blvd Intersection Improvements in the amount of $67,200.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 10 to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., authorizing <br />the professional services as outlined in the Scope of Services and requests the Board authorize the <br />Chairman to execute Work Order No. 10 on their behalf for a lump sum amount of $67,200.00. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
