ORDINANCE 95-02 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />Section 104.06 of the Indian River County Code is amended by the <br />addition of the following subparagraphs. <br />b) The prohibitions enumerated in paragraph a) and c) of this <br />section do not apply in the situations enumerated below: <br />7) Awards of nominal value, plaques and dinners given by <br />a civic or business organization to honor individual or groups for <br />meritorious service, acts of heroism, and similar conduct. <br />8) <br />Local outings <br />offered to <br />all county employees <br />or with <br />prior approval <br />of the Board <br />of—County <br />Commissioners, units of <br />county <br />employees. <br />9) Acceptance <br />of invitations given <br />by <br />organizations as a <br />ceremonial gesture with <br />prior approval of <br />the <br />Board of County <br />Commissioners needed for events outside the county. <br />10) Discounts and other inducements offered by various <br />theme parks and other entertainment interests for all county or state <br />employees. <br />11) Free flu shots offered to all county employees. <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or any sentence, paragraph, phrase, or word of <br />this ordinance is for anv reason held to be unconstitutional. <br />inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining <br />portions of this <br />ordinance, and it shall <br />be construed <br />to have been the <br />legislative intent <br />to pass the ordinance <br />without such <br />unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />JANUARY 24, 1995 30 <br />M M <br />�00W 9 w461 <br />M <br />
