<br />• North County Aquatic Center - $1,140,506, an increase of $288,919
<br />or3.9%
<br />• Gifford Aquatic Center - $427,177, a decrease of ($58,163) or
<br />(12.0%)
<br />• Recreation - $985,482, a decrease of ($38,519) or (3.8%)
<br />• Intergenerational Facility - $583263, an increase of $89,740 or
<br />18.2%
<br />• Ocean Rescue - $866,266, a decrease of ($34,677) or (3.8%)
<br />• Shooting Range - $779,793, an increase of $107,920 or 16.1%,

<br />submitted and is not due until August 1, 2019
<br />Total for M.S.T.U. Departments was $6,890,861, a decrease of ($608,529)
<br />or (8.1%)
<br />Administrator Brown continued his presentation of the Budget, and
<br />provided an overview of the M.S.T.U. Budget expenses by department, as
<br />well as the fund millage history. There was an increase in the Millage rate
<br />of 7.2% from last fiscal year.
<br />Commissioner Zorc commented that the revenues received from the
<br />Aquatic Centers were only about 20% of the operating costs.
<br />Administrator Brown responded that the pools do not pay for themselves
<br />and need to be subsidized by the taxpayers. The North County Aquatic
<br />Center was at 39.6% of the operating costs, and Gifford Aquatic Center was
<br />at 18% of the operating costs.
<br />Commissioner O'Bryan mentioned that the audio sound system at the
<br />Intergenerational Center was not adequate and questioned whether there
<br />were funds allocated to upgrade the sound system. Mike Zito, Assistant
<br />County Administrator, replied that the center used portable speakers for the
<br />sound system and they should be adequate, but he would do an assessment
<br />and get back to Administrator Brown.
