Staff recommends not <br />implementing mandatory collection until October 1, 2022. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Letter from Waste Management to Jason Brown dated July 29, 2019 <br />E -Mail from Waste Management to Jason Brown dated August 1, 2019 <br />Vincent Burke, Director of Utility Services, and Himanshu Mehta, Managing <br />Director of the Solid Waste Disposal District (SWDD), appeared before the <br />Board with an update to the progress made regarding the implementation of <br />mandatory garbage service in the County. In an effort to stop the use of <br />recycling carts for garbage, the Board voted on July 19, 2019 and July 23, 2019 <br />to execute a provision in their contract with Waste Management to move from <br />subscription service to mandatory/universal collection service for all County <br />residents. <br />Indian River County Florida <br />Page 33 <br />
