INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - NORTH COUNTY REGIONAL PARK PAGE 5 <br />AQUATIC FACILITY ROOFING REPLACEMENT SECTION 092513 <br />JUNE 7, 2019 ACRYLIC PLASTER FINISH <br />minimum 8 -inch (203 mm) overlap in each direction (except where corner <br />bead is used at outside corners lap mesh over perforated flange of <br />accessory). Avoid wrinkles in the mesh. The mesh must be fully embedded <br />so that no mesh color shows through the base coat when it is dry. Re -skim <br />with additional base coat if mesh color is visible. Do not install base coat and <br />mesh onto solid (unperforated) portions of accessories. <br />4. When the base coat application is dry apply the primer by brush or roller to <br />the entire base coat surface. <br />5. When the primer application is dry apply the textured finish by trowel. Apply <br />finish in a continuous application, and work to a wet edge. Float the finish to <br />achieve the desired texture. <br />6. Control joints shall be installed to match existing, not exceeding more than 20 <br />linear feet or soffit areas which exceed 200 square feet. Expansion joints shall <br />be installed at existing locations. <br />D. Cleaning: <br />1. All excess materials shall be removed from the job site by the Contractor in <br />accordance with contract provisions. <br />2. All surrounding areas, where acrylic plaster finish system was installed, shall be <br />left free of debris and foreign substances resulting from the Contractor's work. <br />E. Protection: Provide protect of the installed material from water infiltration into or <br />behind them during and after construction. Provide protection of installed materials <br />from dust, dirt, precipitation, freezing and continuous high humidiy until they are fully <br />dry. Seal penetrations through the finished surface with backer rod and sealant or <br />other appropriate means. <br />END OF SECTION <br />
