INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SITTING AS SOLID <br />WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT BOARD <br />Solid Waste Disposal District Budget (Non -Ad Valorem Special District) <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste <br />Disposal District (SWDD). The minutes will be approved at an upcoming Solid Waste Disposal District <br />meeting. <br />A. 19-0885 Announce 2019/2020 Proposed Charge and Budget. <br />Recommended Action: [Enter Recommended Action Here] <br />Attachments: RESOLUTIONS - SWDD <br />1. $75.56 per Residential Waste Generation Unit ($120.90/House) <br />(3.5% increase from current year) <br />$42.00 per Commercial Waste Generation Unit <br />(3.7% increase from current year) <br />Readiness -to -Use Fee $24.69 <br />(0.4% increase from current year) <br />2. $16,237,578 Budget <br />Chairman Solari opened the floor for public comments; there were none. <br />Chairman Solari brought up the extra $51 that appeared on the Trim Notices <br />and questioned whether any Commissioner had received any comments <br />from the public. The Commissioners and County Administrator Brown <br />replied that the Board received very few comments after the initial notice <br />and no comments were received from the public since the rate increase was <br />dismissed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve the Non -Ad Valorem assessment rates of $75.56 per <br />Residential Waste Generation Unit ($120.90/House), a 3.5% increase from <br />current year; $42.00 per Commercial Waste Generation Unit, a 3.7% increase <br />from current year; and Readiness to Use Fee of $24.69, a 0.4% increase from <br />current year, for the Solid Waste Disposal District(SWDD); and to approve <br />Resolution 2019-085, establishing the assessment rate to be levied upon all <br />real taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 <br />for the Solid Waste Disposal District.
