A.1.19-0895 Request from Cleveland Clinic Martin Health for a Class B Certificate of <br />Public Convenience and Necessity to provide Non -Emergency ambulance <br />inter -facility medical transports at the ALS/BLS level (Administrative). <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners, based upon the <br />needs assessment as outlined in Indian River County Ordinance, Chapter <br />304.07, to approve and grant a Class `B" COPCN to Cleveland Clinic Martin <br />Health. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Chairman Solari presented the request from Cleveland Clinic Martin Health to <br />provide Non -Emergency ambulance inter -facility medical transports. <br />Chairman Solari opened the Public Hearing. <br />Tad Stone, Director of Emergency Services, spoke in support of Cleveland <br />Clinic Martin Health's request for a Class "B" Certificate. <br />Commissioner Zorc questioned whether Lawnwood Emergency Center had <br />made a request for a Class "B" Certificate. Director Stone confirmed that <br />Lawnwood Emergency Center had not applied for a Class "B" Certificate, and <br />stated that he would reach out to them. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 7 <br />
