Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes -Final October 15, 2019 <br /> Ms. Bell confirmed her acceptance of the agreement in response to a question <br /> from Commissioner O'Bryan. <br /> Chairman Solari issued a reminder that the Board does not take action on public <br /> discussion items,and authorized Director Burke to follow through with the <br /> agreement reached. <br /> No Action Taken or Required <br /> 10.6.2. 19-0965 10.B.2 Shores Update on Virgin Trains <br /> Bob Auwaerter,Vice Mayor,Town of Indian River Shores, appeared before the <br /> Board with a report of the Virgin Trains(Brightline/All Aboard Florida)public <br /> information session held in Jupiter,Florida on Monday, October 14, 2019. Mr. <br /> Auwaerter recounted the discussions regarding expansion plans, safety <br /> measures, and engineering challenges as Virgin Trains begins its Phase II <br /> service extension from Palm Beach to Orlando. <br /> Chairman Solari asked and received answers regarding the record-setting <br /> number of train-related deaths,the lack of permits at crossing sites, and the <br /> proposed financing of the expansion. <br /> Commissioner Flescher discussed the absence of Florida legislators at the <br /> meeting, and the surprising lack of input from local leaders. <br /> No Action Taken or Required <br /> C.
