Section 02810 <br />Irrigation <br />1.13 Cleaning Premises: The Contractor shall keep neat and orderly all of the area <br />where this system is being installed. Disposal of rubbish and waste material <br />resulting from the installation shall be continual. Upon completion of the system, <br />the Contractor shall remove from the property, at his own expense, all temporary <br />structures, rubbish, and waste materials resulting from the installation of system. <br />1.12 Submittals: <br />Product Data: The Contractor shall submit technical data and installation <br />instructions for all underground sprinkler system components. Provide <br />component and control system wiring diagrams, seasonal activation and <br />shutdown and manufacturer's parts catalog. Provide these items a minimum <br />of 30 days prior to any work beginning. Also, provide a schedule indicating <br />length of time each valve is required to open to provide a determined <br />amount of water. <br />1.13 Related Work: <br />Lawn and Grasses, section 02400 <br />.2 Trees, plants and Ground Covers,02300 <br />.3 Earth Work, section 02200 <br />.4 Tree Relocation, section 02100 <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.01 Materials: Any material specified by name and/or model number in the <br />Specifications or on the irrigation drawings is used for the specific purpose of <br />identifying the materials and insuring the specific use of that material in the <br />construction of the system. No substitutions will be permitted without prior written <br />acceptance from the Landscape Architect. All materials used in the system shall <br />be new and without flaws or defects of any type and shall be the best of their class <br />and kind. All materials shall have a minimum guarantee of one year against <br />material defects or defective workmanship. If the Contractor proposes substitution <br />of material, sufficient descriptive literature and material samples shall be furnished <br />to establish the material as an equivalent substitute. In addition, the Contractor <br />shall state, in writing, the specific reasons for proposing substitute materials. <br />2.02 PVC Pipe and Fittings: <br />All pipes shall be new, free from defects, and continuously marked with <br />identification of the manufacturer, type, class and size. All PVC piping shall <br />be in accordance with ASTM D2241. <br />2 All main lines shall be schedule 40 type 1120-1220- polyvinyl chloride <br />(PVC) piping and shall conform to CS -256-63.
