Solid Waste Disposal District <br />The Board reconvened as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste <br />Disposal District. Those minutes will be approved under the next Solid Waste <br />Disposal District meeting. <br />15.6.1. 19-1033 Approval of Minutes Special Call Meeting July 23, 2019 <br />Recommended Action: Approve <br />Attachments: 07232019SWDDSpecialCa11 Draft <br />A motion was made by Commissioner O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve the SWDD Special Call Meeting Minutes of July 23, 2019 as <br />written. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Solari, Vice Chairman Adams, Commissioner Flescher, Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, and Commissioner Zorc <br />15.6.2. 19-1024 Final Pay for Twelfth Amendment to Republic Services for Hurricane Dorian <br />Services <br />Recommended Action: Solid Waste Disposal District staff recommends that its Board approve the <br />following: a. Approve the Final Pay for the Twelfth Amendment to Republic <br />Services in the amount of $34,022.77 for provision of additional services in <br />response to Hurricane Dorian for the non -Class 1 landfill services. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke appeared before the Board with a <br />recommendation to approve the invoice from Republic Services for pre -storm <br />clean up preceding Hurricane Dorian. Director Burke recounted the details of <br />the agreement with Republic Services, and the additional labor involved in <br />managing disposal of debris from the County's Convenience Centers. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Adams, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve staffs recommendation.
