48 <br />1 beginning on the date of enactment of the National Flood <br />2 Insurance Reform Act of 1993), or more often as the Di - <br />3 rector determines necessary, the Director shall assess the <br />4 need to revise and update the flood insurance rate map. <br />5 "(2) Upon the request of a State or community stat - <br />6 ing that a flood insurance rate map needs revision or up - <br />7 dating and the State or community making the request <br />8 agrees to provide not less than 50 percent of the cost, or <br />9 the equivalent value of data, technical analysis, or other <br />10 in-kind services, for the requested revision or update, the <br />11 Director shall review and update the flood insurance rate <br />12 map for the State or community. <br />13 "(f) AVAn ABMMi—To promote compliance xrith the <br />14 requirements of this title, the Director shall make flood <br />15 insurance rate maps and related information available free <br />16 of charge to State agencies directly responsible for coordi- <br />17 nating the National Flood Insurance Program and to ap- <br />18 propriate representatives of communities participating in <br />19 the National Flood Insurance Program, and at a reason - <br />20 able cost to all other persons pursuant to section 1310. <br />21 "(g) NOTIFICATION.—The Director shall publish in <br />22 the Federal Register or by other comparable method, not <br />23 later than 30 days after the map change or revision under <br />24 this section becomes effective, notices of changes to flood <br />25 insurance map panels, and changes to flood insurance map <br />08 1406 is � <br />
