55 <br />1 (B) an evaluation of the status and per - <br />2 formance of flood insurance rate maps and <br />3 mapping activities to update and revise flood in - <br />4 surance rate maps as established by the amend - <br />5 ments made under section 604; and <br />6 (C) a summary of recommendations made <br />7 by the Council to the Director. <br />8 (d) CHAIRPERSON.—The members of the Council <br />9 shall elect 1 member to serve as the chairperson of the <br />10 Council (hereafter in this section referred to as the <br />11 "Chairperson"). <br />12 (e) COORDINATIOAII.-To ensure that the Council's <br />13 recommendations are consistent to the maximum extent <br />14 practicable with national digital spatial data collection and <br />15 management standards, the Chairperson shall consult with <br />16 the Chairperson of the Federal Geographic Data Commit - <br />17 tee (established pursuant to OMB Circular A-16). <br />18 (f) COMPENSATION.—Members of the Council shall <br />19 receive no additional compensation by reason of their serv- <br />20 ice on the Council. <br />21 (g) MEETINGS AND Amon.- <br />22 <br />CTIONS:22 (1) IN GENERAL.—The Council shall meet not <br />23 - less than twice each year at the request of the <br />24 Chairperson or a majority of its members and may <br />-s i.o5 1s <br />■ <br />
