The Chairperson may appoint offi- <br />7 cern to assist in carrying out the duties of the Council <br />8 under subsection (c). <br />9 (i) STAFF OF THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY 'IANAGE- <br />10 DiENT AGENCY.—Upon the request of the Chairperson, <br />11 the Director may detail, on a nonreimbursable basis, per - <br />12 sonnei of the Federal Emergeney- �%Ianagement Agency to <br />13 assist the Council in carrying out its -duties. <br />14 (j) POwERs.—In carrying out this section, the Coun- <br />15 cil may hold hearings, receive evidence and assistance, pro - <br />16 vide information, and conduct reseg eh as it considers ap- <br />17 propriate. <br />18 (k) TEmnNATION.—The Council shall terminate 5 <br />19 years after the date on which all members of the Council <br />20 have been appointed under subsection (b)(1). <br />21 SEC. 806.
