Board of County Commissioners <br />Meeting Minutes - Final June 16, 2020 <br />10.A.3. 20-1598 <br />Recommended Action: <br />Authorization to Submit Applications for Federal Transit Administration <br />Grants for Capital Assistance (Section 5307) and Bus Replacement <br />(Section 5339) - Legislative <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the proposed <br />resolution authorizing the filing of the FY 2020 grant applications for the <br />Section 5307 and Section 5339 programs. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Section 5307 Grant Application <br />Section 5339 Grant Application <br />Resolution <br />Budget Forms <br />Brian Freeman, Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Staff Director, <br />spoke on the Federal Transit Administration Grants for its Sections 5307 and <br />5339 programs, which would cover most of the capital expenses associated <br />with the GoLine and Community Coach. <br />Chairman Adams opened the Public Hearing. There being no speakers, the <br />Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, to approve staffs recommendation and Resolution 2020-051, <br />authorizing the filing of applications for grant funding assistance from the <br />Federal Transit Administration. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Adams, Vice Chairman Flescher, Commissioner Zorc, Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, and Commissioner Solari <br />10.A.4. 20-1634 <br />Recommended Action: <br />Request from iTransit, LLC for a Class El Certificate of Public <br />Convenience and Necessity to provide Wheelchair transports originating <br />from Indian River County (Administrative) <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve and grant <br />a Class "El" COPCN to iTransit, LLC for a period of two (2) years. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />iTransit, LLC. Application <br />Director of the Department of Emergency Services Tad Stone reviewed the <br />information contained in his memorandum dated June 8, 2020 regarding a <br />request from iTransit, LLC for a Class El Certificate of Public Convenience <br />and Necessity to provide Wheelchair transports. <br />Chairman Adams opened the Public Hearing.
