BOOK 94 mu 909 <br />Commissioner Eggert emphasized that this library is expanding <br />more than we ever dreamed it would. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />up to $2500 for staff to work with the engineers to <br />see what can be done and come back with a plan. <br />SCHEDULING OF SPECIAL MEETING FOR UTILITIES, STRATEGY <br />PLAN INCENTIVES <br />CONSENSUS was reached to schedule the meeting for Thursday, <br />May 18, at 9:00 a.m. in Chambers, and to televise same. <br />COMMENT ON UNFUNDED MANDATES <br />Commissioner Adams reported on her recent trip to Tallahassee <br />where she learned that one county actually sent a bill to the State <br />for the cost of their unfunded mandates and then sent a late notice <br />after 30 days. She felt we may want to consider doing that and <br />perhaps offer them a 2% discount if they pay within 30 days. <br />Commissioner Eggert believed that may be a very good idea. <br />Administrator Chandler advised that staff is well under way <br />with the task of putting together the cost of federal mandates. <br />NO ACTION TAKEN. <br />DOCUMENTS TO BE MADE PART OF THE RECORD _ <br />A.
