C. Proclamation -Law Week <br />.PROCLAMATION. <br />WHEREAS, May 1 is LAW DAY in the United States of America; and <br />WHEREAS, the Unites States of America has been the citadel of <br />individual liberty and a beacon of hope and opportunity <br />.for more than 200 years to many millions who have <br />sought our shores; and <br />WHEREAS, the foundation of individual freedom and liberty is the <br />body of law that governs us; and <br />WHEREAS,, the Constitution of the United 'States of America and <br />the Bill of Rights are the heart of that body of law, <br />which guarantees us many freedoms including freedom of <br />religious belief, freedom to have and to hold property <br />inviolate, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, <br />freedom of press, freedom of petition, and due process <br />of law among others; and <br />WHEREAS, this year marks the 38th annual nationwide observance <br />of LAW DAY, and the Congress of the United States and <br />the President by official proclamation have set aside <br />May 1 as a special day for recognition of the place of <br />law in American life; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Indian River recognizes May 1 - 7, 1995 <br />as LAW WEEK with "E Pluribus Unum - Out of Many, One" <br />as a national theme: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the week of May 1 - 7, <br />1995 be observed as <br />LAW WEEK <br />in Indian River County, and the Board calls upon all <br />citizens, schools, businesses, clubs, and the news <br />media to commemorate the role of law in our lives. <br />of April, 1995,.. - <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />XNDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Kenneth R.
