Page 3 of 4 <br />DISCUSSION <br />Questions & answers <br />James Ennis, Indian River County — Pay attention to the checklist. If submitted bids are missing <br />any items from the checklist the bid will be disqualified and will not be read. The list of <br />subcontractors must be submitted with the bid but can be altered to add or remove sub- <br />contractors at a later date. All sub -contractors must be registered with Indian River County <br />Building Division. <br />Read and get familiar with the frontend documents of the bid package. <br />The parking will remain open and functional during construction, the Contractor can establish <br />work areas for the safety and protection of citizens and private property. Contractor is <br />responsible for creating work area and securing work area. Be aware this is a public facility <br />and people will be coming and going. If any suspicious person/s is seen walking through the <br />work area, please notify the Courthouse security staff. <br />Work done outside of normal working hours will be looked at on a case by case basis, bidders <br />to submit bids as if working normal county work hours. <br />Any and all question to be directed to the Purchasing Division do not contact the Project <br />Engineer or County project management staff. Cone of silence is in effect. <br />Mark Renninger PE, REI — In addition to the scope of work mentioned earlier, an elastomeric <br />coating is to be applied to the exterior of the building. A line item will be added to the <br />Itemized Bid Schedule and sent out with Addendum. <br />Michael Heller — The building permit has been applied for and is being reviewed. The winning <br />bidder will have to complete application and pick up permit. <br />Question 1. Will the existing signage be re -used for the project or are you looking to replace <br />with new garage level and wayfinding signage? <br />Answer: Signage will be handled by the Owner. <br />Question 2. Will project be managed by a General Contractor or would the city be buying <br />direct? <br />Answer: Contractor is to purchase all materials required to complete the project. There will be <br />no direct purchasing by the Owner. <br />Question 3. Number of spaces that can be blocked off during construction? <br />Answer: 30 to 35 spaces can be closed at a time, throughout the entire parking deck. <br />Question 4.
