BOOK 95 .F.,u108 <br />FAIRGROUND ADVISORY CO E <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 2, 1995: <br />M E M O R A N D U M <br />TO: County Commissioners <br />FROM: Commissioner Dick Bird <br />Chairman, Parks and Recreation Committee <br />DATE: May 2, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item for Tuesday, May 9, 1995 <br />ITEM 13-C (1) FAIRGROUND ADVISORY SUB -COMMITTEE <br />At the last Parks and Recreation Committee meeting Ms. Susan <br />Wilson asked that a Fairground Advisory Sub -Committee be set up <br />to work on fairground -related matters. They would report to the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee with regards to possible funding <br />and development opportunities for the fairgrounds. <br />This Sub -Committee would consist of the following members: <br />Susan Wilson - Chairman <br />Mike Pressley - Farm Bureau <br />Wi11,Barker - Cattlemen <br />Wesley Davis - School Board <br />Sam Adams - Livestock Association <br />Dan Culbert - Extension Agent <br />Joe Earman, Jr. - Firefighters <br />Commissioner Bird requested the sub -committee be re- <br />established with the members as listed in the memorandum. More and <br />more activities are taking place there and far more are anticipated <br />in the future. The committee will require no staff support, they <br />will only tape their meetings. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously <br />approved the establishment of the Fairground <br />Advisory Sub -Committee with members as listed <br />in the memorandum. <br />82 <br />May 16, 1995 <br />
