Resolution No. 90-104 <br />3) PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE <br />The purpose of the committee shall be to: <br />1. Carry out the policies of the Conservation <br />Element of the Indian River County <br />Compre-hensive Plan, particularly Objective 6, <br />Upland Vegetation Communities with special <br />emphasis on Policies 6.1 through 6.6 by 1992; <br />j 2. Work with the County and all municipalities <br />to make priorities for future land acqui- <br />sition; <br />3. Work with private groups and landholders in <br />addition to state and federal agencies for <br />the acquisition of land; <br />4. Work with current developments and golf <br />courses to place currently preserved land <br />Into conservation easements for permanent <br />preservation; and <br />S. Develop funding mechanisms for the acqui- <br />sition of land. (If referendum is decided <br />upon, date and amount should be determined.) <br />4) ADVISORY STATUS <br />The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee shall be <br />advisory only and the members shall serve without <br />compensation. <br />5) GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />The provisions of Title I, Chapter 103, relating to <br />advisory boards and committees shall apply to this board. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner <br />S�rlcrkand the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Rir� i________, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote <br />was as follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K.
