Keatin C <br />Community Develo ent rector <br />Stan Boling, AICP <br />Planning Director <br />May 24, 1995 <br />Second Hearing for Land Development Regulations (LDRs) <br />Amendment Ordinance <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its special <br />hearing of May 31, 1995. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At its special hearing of May 15, 1995, the Board of County <br />Commissioners reviewed and considered a draft ordinance which <br />contained a variety of LDR amendments. At that time, the Board <br />directed staff to make some changes to the draft ordinance (see <br />attachment #1). The Board also indicated that it intended to <br />consider final adoption of the ordinance at the public hearing <br />scheduled for May 31, 1995. <br />Staff has revised the proposed ordinance based upon the direction <br />given by the Board. The Board is now to consider final action on <br />the proposed ordinance (see attachment #2). <br />ANALYSIS: - <br />At the May 15th special hearing, the Board directed staff to make <br />changes to the proposed ordinance regarding the following issues: <br />1. Text Correction: correct a footnote text error in the draft <br />ordinance section 8.B. <br />2. Appeal of Staff Decisions: add specific language in ordinance <br />section 15.A. regarding the process for appealing staff <br />decisions on administrative permit use requests. <br />3. Accessory Storage Structures Prohibition: add-in specific <br />language in ordinance section 16.B. prohibiting a travel <br />trailer or vehicle body from being used as an accessory <br />storage building or shed, and stating that structures used for <br />storage must be designed for storage use. <br />4. Restrictions on Mining Activities: delete in ordinance <br />section 21 an option for applying a 150' setback from property <br />lines to stockpiles and on-site haul roads, and require a 500' <br />setback from adjacent occupied structures to mining pits, on- <br />site haul roads, and material stockpile areas.- <br />3 <br />reas: <br />3 BOOK 95 PALE22'0 <br />MAY 31, 1995 <br />
