The <br />Motion was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />WILLOW STREET PAVING AND DRAINAGE ENOROVEMENTS <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of June 7, 1995: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: June 7, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Willow Street Paving and Drainage Improvements <br />FROM: James E. Chandler Y5r Q.— <br />County Administrator <br />A joint Public Hearing of the Board and Fellsmere City Council regarding the Willow Street <br />improvements originally scheduled for January 24, 1995 was canceled at the request of the City. A <br />straw ballot. question concerning unpaved streets had been scheduled for the City's March election. <br />At this time, a final determination has not been made concerning the proposed Willow Street <br />Project. Inquiries from interested parties continue to be received about the project status, as well as <br />requests for the public hearing to express their views both pro and con. - <br />If the Public Hearing is rescheduled, City Administrator John Little advised that the City <br />Council could not support the city portion of the project, unless the proposed assessment within the <br />City were modified to apply only to properties fronting on Willow Street. With respect to hearing <br />dates, he indicated the City is flexible, with the exception of Council meeting nights, which are the <br />1 st and 3rd Thursdays. _ <br />County Administrator Chandler reviewed the matter with the <br />Board and advised that the City Council of the City of Fellsmere <br />has advised they could not support the city portion of the project <br />unless the assessments were on a front footage basis. <br />CONSENSUS was reached to set a public hearing date early in <br />August, 1995, on the Willow Street Paving and Drainage <br />Improvements. <br />JUNE 139 1995 84 1 ija 95 m( 424 <br />
