Bid Item No. 0522 2 — Concrete Sidewalk and Driveway, 6" Thick (Fiber <br />Reinforced) — Per Square Yard <br />SECTION 550 - FENCING <br />Wire rope barrier gate to be supplied with wood posts. Cable wire shall be minimum 3/8 - <br />inch diameter hot dipped galvanized secured permanently to one post and lockable at <br />opposite post. Wood posts shall be pressure treated 8 -inch diameter embedded to 3 <br />feet. Height of post shall extend to 36 -inches above grade. <br />Metal Manual Double Barrier Gate shall be Sentinel Manual Swing Barrier gates as <br />Manufactured by Guardian Traffic Systems, or approved equal. Support metal post shall <br />be 2-7/8 -inch outside diameter galvanized pipe. Gate metal shall be 1 -7/8 -inch outside <br />diameter galvanized pipe with 2110 Standard Hinge. All pipe shall be minimum 12 ga. <br />steel. Refer to Construction Drawings for additional specifications on concrete and <br />paint. <br />Item of Payment <br />Payment for the work specified in this item shall be made under: <br />Bid Item No. 0550 60 8 — Wire Rope Barrier Gate — Per Each <br />Bid Item No. 0550 60 8A — Metal Manual Double Barrier Gate — Per Each <br />SECTION 570 — PERFORMANCE TURF <br />The work specified in this item shall conform to Section 570 of the Florida Department <br />of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. <br />A. Description: Sod for the project shall be of the variety that is common to the area <br />and of a variety approved by the Engineer. This work shall also include mowing, to <br />be mowed at maximum 6" height with a mulching mower. <br />B. Work Included: Scope of Work: The work specified in this section consists of the <br />establishing of a stand of grass, within the project, right-of-way, easements, and <br />other areas indicated on the Drawings, by furnishing and placing grass sod. Also <br />included are fertilizing, watering and maintenance as required to assure a healthy <br />stand of grass. Two applications of fertilizer will be required with the initial <br />application being fertilizer and the second application being "weed and feed". <br />C. Guarantee: All sodded areas shall be guaranteed for one year after date of final <br />acceptance. <br />Replacement of Defective Sod: Any dead sod or sod showing (less than 95% of a <br />square) indication of probable non survival or lack of health and vigor, or which do <br />not exhibit the characteristics to meet specifications, shall be replaced within two <br />weeks of notice from Owner or Engineer. All replacement sod shall be <br />furnished/installed at no additional cost to the Owner and shall be guaranteed for <br />three months.
