Szpyrka P.E., Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Work Order No. 4, Donadio and Associates — IRC Traffic Operations Facility <br />(IRC 2104) <br />DATE: March 17, 2021 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On November 13, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Continuing Services Contract <br />Agreement with Donadio and Associates, Architects P.A. to perform continuing architectural services for <br />architectural projects for County Departments and Divisions. The Contract was for three years, with an <br />option for an additional two-year renewal. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 4 is to prepare construction documents for a new single story, 20,600 sq. ft. <br />Traffic Operations Facility and a single story, 5,130 sq. ft. covered storage structure, open on foursides. The <br />scope includes architectural design, structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering and civil <br />engineering, and assistance with bidding the project, for a contract amount of $261,900.00 plus $57,100.00 <br />in reimbursable expenses for a total of $319,000.00. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding in the amount of $319,000.00 is budgeted and available in Optional Sales Tax Facilities <br />Management/Traffic Operations Building Replacement, GL Account Number 31522019-066510-20017. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 4 for Donadio and Associates, authorizing the professional <br />services as outlined in the Scope of Services (Exhibit A,) and requests the Board authorize the Chairman to <br />execute Work Order No. 4 on their behalf for a contract amount of $261,900.00 plus $57,100.00 in <br />reimbursable expenses for a total of $319,000.00. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Scope of Services - Exhibit A <br />Donadio and Associates Work Order No. 4 <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM FOR APRIL 6.2021 <br />190 <br />
