PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING JAMES CAIRNS ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS/ROAD & BRIDGE DIVISION <br />WHEREAS, James Cairns retires from the Indian River County Department of <br />Public Works, Road & Bridge Division effective March 31,202 1; and <br />WHEREAS, James Cairns began his career with Indian River County, Road & <br />Bridge Division on January 4, 1991, as a Maintenance Worker III. James Cairns was <br />promoted shortly after on November 8, 1991, to a Maintenance Worker V. On April <br />10, 1992, James Cairns was then promoted to Motor Equipment Operator II. On <br />November 17, 1995, James Cairns was promoted to a Heavy Equipment Operator <br />within the Road & Bridge Division, which is the position he continued in until his <br />retirement; and <br />WHEREAS, James Cairns has served this County and the Public with distinction <br />and selflessness. He has gained the respect and admiration of his colleagues, co- <br />workers and citizens within the County and his work is greatly appreciated! <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds James Cairns' efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express their appreciation for the dedicated service he has given to Indian River <br />County for the last Thirty years! <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and <br />staff extend heartfelt wishes for success in his future endeavors! <br />Adopted this 1011 day of March 2021. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Joseph E.
