Primer: Acrylic -based saneded primer, complies with SCAQMD Rule 1113 for primers. <br />Basis of Design: StoPrime by Sto Corp. <br />C. Base Coat: One component polymer modified Portland cement high build base coat. <br />Basis of Design: Sto BTS Plus by Sto Corp. <br />D. Surface Reinforcement: maximum nominal 4.5 glass fiber reinforcing mesh by approved <br />manufacturer. <br />Basis of Design: Sto Mesh by Sto Corp. <br />E. Coverboard: USG Securock or approved equal. <br />2.02 ACCESSORIES <br />A. General: Comply with ASTM C 1063 and coordinate depth of trim and accessories with <br />thicknesses and number of plaster coats required. <br />B. Plastic Accessories: <br />1. Casing Beads: With perforated flanges in depth required to suit plaster bases <br />indicated and flange length to suit application indicated. <br />a. Square -edge style; use unless otherwise indicated. <br />2. Control Joints: One -piece -type, folded pair of unperforated screeds in M -shaped <br />configuration; with perforated flanges and removable protective tape on plaster face <br />of control joint. <br />3. Expansion Joints: Two-piece type, formed to produce slip -joint and square edges <br />sized to match existing, with perforate concealed flanges. <br />PART 3.00 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 EXAMINATION <br />A. Examine surfaces for conditions that will adversely affect execution, permanence, and <br />quality of work. <br />B. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. <br />C. Verify that surfaces to be plastered are free of dust, loose particles, oil, and foreign matter <br />which would affect bond of plaster coats. <br />
