Do not unreel and pull cables into the trench from one end. However, the cable <br />shall be unreeled on grade, "Figure • 8'ed", and pulled through canal crossing <br />conduits. leave a horizontal slack of approximately 25 feet in each pullbox for <br />bridge crossings and at points shown on the plans where connections are to be <br />brought above ground. Where cable is brought above ground, leave additional <br />slack, approximately 50' per end, to make necessary connections. <br />4.0 Testing, Service & Warranty Requirements <br />4,1 Subsequent to installation, CONTRACTOR will test cable by use of Optical Time Domain <br />Reflector calibrated at 1310nm with bare fiber adapters. The results of these tests are to be <br />provided to INDIAN RIVER COUNTY General Services Department on two (2) disks and two <br />copies of printed traces prior to any final payment being issued. <br />4.2 CONTRACTOR to warrant installation for one year from acceptance by INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY from faults occurring due to improper installation by the CONTRACTOR. All material <br />supplied under this Contract shall be covered by the manufacturer's normal written guarantee or <br />warranty against defects in materials, workmanship, and performance. <br />22 <br />
