Board of County Commissioners Budget Workshop Meeting Minutes - Final July 14, 2021 <br />dollars towards road resurfacing. Management and Budget Director <br />Kristin Daniels explained that the ARP funds must be used on governmental <br />services and improving infrastructure. <br />Chairman Flescher and Commissioner Moss were in favor of dedicating <br />ARP funds towards resurfacing the roads. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for public comments; there were none. <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />114-120 FIRE RESCUE <br />21-0671 <br />Attachments: Emergency Services <br />County Administrator Jason Brown provided an overview of the Emergency <br />Services District Budget, pointing out the ad valorem tax roll increased by <br />5.42%, generating $1,947,887 in additional revenue, assuming 95% <br />collections, and noted the millage rate was 2.353 1, no change from the last <br />fiscal year. He concluded the total proposed budget for Emergency <br />Services District is $45,833,727, a decrease of $1,981,111. <br />Chairman Flescher announced that Assistant Fire Chief Dave Johnson was <br />present. Chief Johnson introduced himself and was available to answer <br />any questions, there were none. <br />Commissioner Adams sought and received information from County <br />Administrator Brown on the assessment that the County pays the State <br />Forestry Division for their fire services at a per acre charge. <br />Chairman Flescher received confirmation from County Administrator <br />Brown that Fire Stations 7 and 15 were fully funded, and that it was just a <br />matter of working out additional details and securing property in the right <br />location to move forward with construction. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for public comments; there were none. <br />NON -DEPARTMENTAL STATE AGENCIES <br />001-106 NEW HORIZONS OF THE TREASURE COAST, INC. <br />001-106 STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />Indian River County Florida Page 9 <br />
