BOOK 95 F' l uL 77'9 <br />9 <br />A Necessary Amendments for Balancing the Budget - <br />1994/95 Fiscal Year <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of July 13, 1995: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: July 13, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE THE MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET <br />DIRECTOR TO DO THE NECESSARY AMENDMENTS <br />FOR BALANCING THE BUDGET FOR THE 1994/95 <br />FISCAL YEAR <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: - Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director <br />The 1994/95 fiical year ends September 30, 1995. All budget amendments must be done prior to <br />the close of the fiscal year to be in proper compliance. <br />I would like the Board of County Commissioners to authorize the Management and Budget Director <br />to do the necessary budget amendments for balancing the budget for the 1994/95 fiscal year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Management and Budget Director to do the <br />necessary budget amendments for balancing the budget <br />for the 1994/95 fiscal year, as recommended by <br />staff . <br />E. Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes - (Korangy Tract) <br />Trust for Public Land <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of July 17, 1995: <br />TO: ,BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DATE: July 17, 1995 <br />FROM: Lea R. Keller, CLA, County Attorney's Office <br />THRU: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES <br />PROPERTY PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is allowed <br />to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the property <br />acquired for public purposes.. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tax <br />Collector and copies sent to the Property Appraiser and Fixed Assets <br />Department. <br />JULY 25, 1995 6 <br />i r <br />
