BOOK 95 F,ncE 795 <br />ANALYSIS <br />Staff utilizes the labor contract with Driveways, Inc., of <br />Titusville, which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners <br />on September 29, 1993. Staff has negotiated with the contractor to <br />provide materials. Also, for comparison purposes, staff has <br />requested a quote from Coastal Construction of Melbourne, the <br />artificial wetland contractor. The following are both prices <br />submitted to the County: <br />Driveways, Inc. $16,728.40 <br />Coastal Construction $24,150.00 <br />Note: Both proposals include labor and materials. <br />Funding for this replacement shall be paid through renewal and <br />replacement funds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the submitted proposal of said <br />work in the amount of $16,728.40 and execution of the attached <br />agreement with Driveways, Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />the proposal in the amount of $16,728.40 with <br />Driveways, Inc., as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANTS CONIMMG SERVICES RENEWAL <br />OF AGREEMENT - CAMP DRESSER MCKEE <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of July 11, 1995: <br />TO: JAMES E. UW -93 -06 -CO <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 22, 1993, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a contract with Camp Dresser and McKee, Inc., <br />for water plant continuing consulting services. (See attached agenda <br />item and minutes.) The County Utilities Department is now prepared <br />to renew this agreement for another year of service.
