Chandler, ,�� t--- Ci' <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Don G. Donaldson, P.E., <br />Coastal Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Carter & Associates, Inc., <br />Vero Lake Estates MSSW Permitting Agreement <br />County Project # 8226.1 <br />DATE: July 24, 1995 FILE: VLE8226.AGN <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Carter & Associates, Inc. has been retained by the County to <br />prepare an application to St. Johns River Water Management District <br />(SJRWMD) for a drainage retrofit of the Vero Lake Estates Drainage <br />System. They are currently preparing the drawings and drainage <br />calculations for submittal to SJRWMD. The drainage calculations do <br />require additional survey information that the County does not <br />have. <br />The Public Works Department has been using the county survey crews <br />to gather survey information for Vero Lake Estates and other <br />projects. These other county projects have created their own <br />demands for survey information and the survey division does not <br />have the capability to meet all the demands placed• on their <br />division at this time. <br />The Public Works Department has requested Carter Associates prepare <br />costs for the additional survey work. (See attached) The Public <br />Works Department feels it is in the County's best interest to not <br />delay Carter & Associates, Inc. from completing the permit <br />application and drainage calculations. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The following alternatives are -presented: -- <br />34 <br />AUGUST 1, 1995 <br />
