Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 1 to the <br />Agreement with Carter & Associates, Inc. and proceed with <br />obtaining the additional survey requirements as outlined <br />in their proposal for Parts I & II at an additional cost <br />of $9,100 for a Not -to -Exceed Lump Sum Fee of $84,750 on <br />the entire Agreement. This will enable Carter & <br />Associates to continue to work on the project without <br />delay and will free up County survey crews to devote more <br />time to other projects. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Not approve Amendment No. 1 thereby requiring County <br />Survey staff to complete the survey requirements for the <br />Vero Lake Estates project. This action will delay the <br />completion of the drainage calculations until all survey <br />work is complete. <br />RECOMb=MTIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommend_sAlternative No. 1. Funding is from the Vero Lake <br />Estates MSTU. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternative No. 1, as recommended by staff. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />RESCHEDULING OF PUBLIC HEARING ON WILLOW STREET <br />PAVING <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis requested a delay of the <br />August 24 meeting until after September 5 to give staff adequate <br />time to prepare assessment rolls and send out a registered mailing <br />prior to the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />rescheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, September <br />12, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. in Fellsmere to consider the <br />Willow Street paving project. <br />35 800K 95, , F 840 <br />AUGUST 1, 1995 <br />
