Proposed Amendment to Section 400.001 - IRC Code <br />Suspension of Contractors Certificate of Competency <br />When Outstanding Fines Exist <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of August 22, 1995: <br />95 PDGF 975 <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: August 22, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION 400.001 INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY CODE <br />The attached ordinance has been prepared for Commission consideration. <br />It provides for the suspension of contractors certificate of competency <br />when outstanding fines exist against the contractor. Staff request <br />permission to advertise said ordinance for public hearing. <br />A public hearing date of September 26, 1995 is suggested. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously, by a 4-0 <br />vote (Chairman Macht being absent), approved <br />September 26, 1995 as the public hearing date, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />E. Satisfaction of Lien - oseph Haniman, Jr. <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of August 25, 1995: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: L?"G William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: August 25, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Satisfaction of Lien <br />In 1977 a lien was recorded by the Public Defender's Office against Joseph <br />Hamman, Jr. in favor of Indian River County for public defender services <br />and court costs which were incurred by a county court case in which Joseph <br />Harriman, Jr. was the defendant. Mr. Haniman has now made full payment to <br />the County. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />It is requested that the Board authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />attached Satisfaction. <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 1995 5 <br />
