IIS -94 -22 -CS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 8, 1995, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a change order to the.Jungle Trail water line <br />project for an additional parallel water line. This line is to <br />allow the.North Beach R.O. Plant to be taken off line in the near <br />future. (Please see the attached agenda item, minutes, and letter <br />of recommendation from Brown and Caldwell.) <br />On October il, 1994, the Commission approved a contract with <br />Masteller and Moler for the design of a North Beach Wastewater <br />Repump Station and Force Main over the Wabasso causeway. In keeping <br />with our approved direction to remove the North Beach Water Plant <br />from service, we now wish to continue our water line -extension from <br />Jungle Trail over the causeway to our existing line on CR 510. This <br />line will also provide service to both Marsh and orchid Islands. <br />Since the water line will take the same route as the force main, the <br />County is proposing to amend the existing force main design contract <br />with Masteller and Moler to include the water main design.
