BOOK 95 mu 995 <br />The attached Amendment No. 1 provides for the design and permitting of a <br />soutiibound right turn lane off U.S. 1 and modification to the signalization plans. A <br />northbound right turn lane off U.S.1 was included in the original contract. <br />The compensation due the Engineer for Amendment No.1 Is $3,300.00. This added <br />to the c went contract amount of $45,000.00 results in a revised contract amount of <br />$48,300.00 <br />Staff recommends approval of Amendment No.1 to Work Order No.1 In the amount <br />of $3,300.00. CDS/CCS-515 <br />BACKGROUND <br />As a result of review of this proposed development with the design <br />engineer, we have determined that an existing County lift station <br />within Grand Harbor can be abandoned and its flow diverted into the <br />collection system of the Oak Harbor Phase I development. We feel <br />that this abandonment will be advantageous to both the County and <br />the developer. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The total cost of the above work is $40,000.00. Of that amount, the <br />County is proposing to reimburse $20,000.00 to the developer.-- The <br />valve of the pumps and other equipment to be removed from the pump <br />station and used elsewhere at a future date is in excess of <br />$20,000.00.
