Construction of the Sector 3, Phase 1 Beach and Dune Restoration Project (IRC -1925) has been <br />deemed complete by the County and contracted Engineer, Aptim Environmental & <br />Infrastructure, LLC (APTIM). As Phase 1 represents approximately one-half of the total Sector 3 <br />project, Certifications of project completion, as required under the permits issued for the <br />project, will be submitted byAPTIM to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and <br />the United States Army Corps of Engineers after completion of the Phase 2 portions of the <br />project, representing a complete Sector 3 project. <br />The warranty period for dune plants installed within the past 90 days remains in effect and <br />those plants will continue to be monitored for survival and growth requirements until the end <br />of the 90 -day warranty period. <br />Guettler Brothers Construction, LLC has been paid $11,390,313.04 to date, with $599,490.16 <br />held in retainage. Guettler Brothers Construction, LLC has submitted Contractor's Application <br />for Payment No. 1925-8 for release of retainage in the amount of $599,490.16. <br />FUNDING <br />Local Funding for Phase 1 of the Sector 3 Beach and Dune Restoration project is provided by a <br />portion of Local Option Tourist Tax, FEMA Project Worksheets, and Local Government Funding <br />Request Grant 171R2 and an awarded Grant from the 2021/2022 funding year.
