E <br />DATE : October 1 , 2001 <br />SUBJECT : Approval of Renewal for a Class ` E" Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity for Able Transport Inc . to Provide wheelchair Services. <br />On October 5 , 1999 the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved a renewal <br />of Class ` E" Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Able Transport Inc . to provide <br />Wheelchair transportation originating within Indian River County_ This certificate was necessary in <br />order to comply with Indian River Code of Laws and Ordinances as specified in Chapter 304 - The <br />certificate was approved and renewed for a period of two (2) years and will expire October 5 , 2001 . <br />The Indian River County Code provides for routine renewal of the EMS Certificate of Public <br />Convenience and Necessity on an application by the certificate holder. This can be accomplished <br />without a public hearing if the Board has no reason to believe that the public health, safety, and <br />welfare require it .
