<br />Staff then contacted Johnson Controls , which was the company that had had our service contract
<br />on the chiller . Johnson Controls was willing to extend the existing service contract for another
<br />year for $ 650/month with the costs of any required testing and repairs to be covered under the
<br />terms of the existing contract. This was a monthly saving of $ 79 . 00 a month and a testing cost
<br />saving of $ 5 , 550 excluding any repair costs that would have been required by York International .
<br />Johnson Controls has again agreed to cover this maintenance contract again with an increase in
<br />the cost by 9 % by increasing the monthly charge from $ 650 to $ 705/month .Considering that
<br />this price is still below the bid price submitted by York International Last year, and does not
<br />ffer by Johnson Controls is the best offer.require the extensive repair work, the o
<br />RECOMI'IENDATION :
<br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the additional year extension of the maintenance
<br />contract with Johnson Controls for the Administration Building Chiller based on a price of
<br />705/month .
