BOOK• 96 PAGE 127 <br />Director Keating explained matches of the capital and <br />operating components of the grant program and pointed out that an <br />additional $15,000 was coming from the City of Vero Beach and an <br />additional $15,000 is being requested from Indian River County (see <br />next agenda item). <br />Mr. Heddy was concerned, and Commissioner Eggert explained <br />that the additional $140,000 was a budgeted figure. <br />Bob Walsh, Sunset Drive, wanted to know specifically if any <br />funds were coming from the SHIP fund. <br />Commissioner Eggert assured him there were none, and Director <br />Keating explained how the confusion might have arisen and the <br />differences -in the programs. - <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />adopted Resolution 95-119 which authorizes the <br />filing of an application with the U. S. <br />Department of Transportation for a grant under <br />the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as <br />amended, as recommended by staff. <br />Commissioner Tippin felt, from his observations, that <br />requirements for public transportation would not be getting less. <br />GRANT AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE+CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />32 - <br />September 19, 1995 <br />
