BOOK 96 PAGE 171 <br />Attached are -Resolutions I and II for the assessment project. The <br />total estimated cost to be assessed is $38,022.08. The estimated <br />cost per square foot is $0.1091083. <br />This project is to be funded through the assessment of property <br />owners along the proposed water line route. In the interim, <br />financing will be through the use of impact fee funds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Resolutions, <br />which approve the preliminary assessment roll and establish the <br />public hearing date. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />adopted Resolutions 95-124 and 95-125 as set <br />out below, as recommended in the memorandum. <br />A brief discussion ensued concerning the disrepair of a <br />roadway in the area because of all the water main installations. <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis advised that his department plans <br />to resurface and widen the road but wanted to wait until all <br />subdivisions have water. <br />When asked by Commissioner Bird when 5th Street is going to be <br />connected, Director Davis advised that an additional 10 feet of <br />right-of-way needs to be acquired. <br />Providing ( First Reso . ) <br />9/1/95(reso/mirafl2)Vk/DC <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95- 124 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR WATER SERVICE TO <br />MIRAFLORES UNIT TWO SUDIVISION; PROVIDING <br />THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, METHOD OF <br />PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF ANNUAL <br />INSTALLMENTS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE <br />AREA SPECIFICALLY SERVED. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County has determined that the improvements herein described are <br />necessary to promote the <br />public <br />welfare of <br />the county <br />and has <br />deter- <br />mined to defray the cost <br />thereof <br />by special <br />assessments <br />against <br />certain <br />properties to be serviced by a water main extension to Miraflores Unit <br />Two Subdivision (34th Court, SW), hereinafter referred to as Project <br />No. UW -95 -09 -DS; <br />76 - <br />September 19, 1995 <br />
