this code shall be determined by the Building Official subject to appeal <br />to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals. <br />Section 15. LIABILITY. Any officer or employee, or member <br />of the Board of Adjustments and Appeals, charged with the enforce- <br />ment of any of the codes established by this resolution, acting for the <br />applicable governing body in the discharge of his duties, shall not <br />thereby render himself liable personally for ordinary negligence, and <br />he is hereby relieved from all personal liability for ordinary negli- <br />gence for any damage that may occur to persons or property as a <br />result of any act required or permitted in the discharge of his duties. <br />Any stilt brought against any officer or employee because of such act <br />perforined by him in the enforcement of any provision of such codes <br />shall be defended by the County Attorney (referred to herein as The <br />Department of Law) until the final termination of the proceedings. <br />Section 16, PERMITS. <br />(1) When Required. <br />(a) No electrical wiring, alterations or changes to existing <br />systems or the installation of electrical apparatus or equipment for <br />lights, heat, power or other uses or purposes within or attached to <br />any building or structure subject to this resolution shall be undertaken <br />prior to the issuance of a permit therefor. <br />(b) Ordinary repairs to damaged or broken fixtures, appara- <br />tus or equipment shall not require a permit. <br />(c) Where installation Is commenced before a permit is obtained, <br />the Permit Fees shall be doubled. <br />(2) Form. Application for port -nit shall be made on a form <br />provided by the Building Official and shall be accompanied by the fees <br />set forth in the Schedule of Fees.
