heaters shall be equipped with a pilot light and indicating switch. The' <br />switch and pilot light shall be located in a conspicuous place inside the <br />building, preferably in the kitchen or hall. Points of electrical con- <br />nections for heaters and replacement of elements shall be readily <br />accessible. All leads to equipment shall be protected with Greenfield <br />or equivalent material. <br />(e) Fixed motors of 1/3 1-1. P. and over shall be wired on <br />separate circuits. It is recommended that motors of 3/4 1-1. P. and <br />over be operated on nothing less than a 208 volt circuit. Motors over <br />3 It P. shall be protected against short circuits and overloading by <br />approved automatic control devices. <br />(f) Flexible watertight raceway will be approved for weather- <br />proof flexible conduit where flexibility is needed. <br />(g) Short-radlus ells, often referred to as "telaphon&' clig, <br />shall not be used in a run of conduit over five feet long, measured <br />from outlet -to -outlet, or from outlet -to -fitting. nerun of pipe shall <br />be straight and shall not include any additional ON. <br />(b) A sufficient number of receptacles shall be installed in <br />every dining -room, breakfast-roorn, living -room, parlor, library, <br />den, suaroom, rccreation room and bedroom so that any point on the <br />wall will not be more than six feet distance from a convenient recep- <br />tacle. Any free -wall space In excess of four feet shall have a <br />receptacle Installed within that area, even though it may be nearer <br />than 12 feet to another receptacle rcqtiir(.xl In that section of the room, <br />and not more than 2 receptacles per circuit in kitchen, dining -room <br />and service area and shall be 3 wire ground receptacles. <br />(I) When the above paragraph has been compiled with in <br />residential occupancies, additional receptacles may be Installed in <br />any one room without an increase in the number of branch circuits, <br />provided the possible demand has not been increased. <br />26 <br />
