Award the bid for sulfuric acid to Jones Chemicals as <br />the lowest, mostresponsible and responsive bidder <br />meeting specifications as set forth in the Invitation <br />to Bid. Reject the bid for Anti-Scalant as the <br />specifications need updating and clarification, and <br />rebid at a later date. (See attached department <br />recommendation) <br />2. Establish an Open End Contract with Jones Chemicals. <br />Inc with a not to exceed amount of $25,000.00 during <br />the period October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996. <br />Last years expenditures were $19,930.68. <br />3. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract <br />subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost <br />increase, vendor acceptance, and the determination that <br />renewal is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) unanimously <br />awarded Bid #6011 to Jones Chemicals, as recommended <br />by staff. <br />G.
