BOOK 96 pg�F 2:30 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based on the analysis performed, staff recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners grant special exception use approval for the <br />Sterling House adult congregate living facility for 50 elderly <br />residents, subject to the following condition: <br />1. That prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy (C.O.)._ <br />for the project, the applicant shall document to planning <br />staff that he has applied for an HRS license for an ACLF that <br />houses no more than 50 residents. <br />Commissioner Adams left the meeting at 9:45 a.m. on private <br />business. <br />Planning Director Stan Boling advised that 106 residents would <br />be allowed under the regulations but the developer is only <br />proposing 50 residents. The Planning & Zoning Commission approved <br />recommendation by a 6-0 vote; however, staff added the condition <br />that, prior to a Certificate of Occupancy being issued, the <br />applicant shall document that they have applied for a license for <br />no more than 50 residents. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, he closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board by a 3-0 vote <br />(Commissioners Eggert and Adams being absent) <br />unanimously approved the special exception use for <br />the Sterling House adult congregate living facility <br />for 50 elderly residents; subject to the condition <br />that prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy <br />the applicant shall document that he has applied for <br />an HRS license for an ACLF that houses no more than <br />50 residents, pursuant to staff's recommendations. <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1"5 34 <br />
