ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The Agreement requires the County to: <br />• Keep good financial records of the project. <br />Submit project status reports quarterly. <br />• Be responsible for wrongful acts of employees, contractor, etc. <br />• Allow DEP to inspect facilities. <br />• Refund the grant if the County is found to be non-compliant with this <br />agreement. <br />• Place a sign on site recognizing state funding. <br />• Dedicate the land for public recreation for at least 25 years. <br />Not exclude or discriminate against any person using the park based on <br />race, creed, color, etc. <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize the Chairman's signature on the project agreement for Blue <br />Cypress Lake Park. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the grant acceptance. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended. County funding in the amount of $45,000 for <br />Blue Cypress Lake Park Restroom Building is from Parks Account 001-210-572- <br />066.29. <br />Chairman Macht suggested a briefing of the current status of <br />development at Blue Cypress Lake. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) unanimously <br />approved the State of Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection Florida Boating Improvement <br />Program Development Project Grant Agreement, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1995 39 b00K 96 wu-r 244 <br />
